I stopped using my Out Mundi Totem and started to use a Plentiful "Shaman Staff" of Ransack... it says that it gives +15 to AC, but it don't give a single point.
My staff of Apocalypse gives +20 as normal.
Is it occurring with all Shaman Staves?
And Hell Helms and Circlet are giving +5 instead of +3 (shown)
Web Site.: Ruinrama gives 20 Mind Control charges instead of 16 |

Hi,
-Shaman Staffs don't give an AC bonus and it is not said so.
-Staff of Apocalypse: is it a bountiful staff? In that case, sure, it can have up to 24 charges, if I'm right. Affixes are assigned to item types, so if it occurs on a Short Staff, it also occurs on a Shaman Staff.
-Hell's Helms and Circlets: well, I tested that and it gave me +3 damage. Were you bare-handed perhaps?
-Ruinrama: that was actually my fault, I'm sorry. 20 is correct. |

I don't remember EXACTLY the names of the basic items, but i know that there are some types of staves which give to the player who wield them various bonus to the AC (20/15/10 and so on)...It depends on the staff type. For sure Shaman Staff gives 20 Ac bonus, like a Jest's Fallen Soul, for example (hope I'm not wrong about the basic item type of Jest's Fallen )

DeeP,
Jest's Fallen is not Shaman... but Out Mundi Totem is.
Ychiju,
I see. The site says that Shaman Staves gives nothing ( - ), but the game says different.
Could you be kind enough to tell this to Labiri, so he can remove the +15 ac that appear when we hold the item?
About the apocalipse, I was talking about the AC since its a War Staff +20 AC, not 20 charges
I'm sorceror, and Circlets and Hell Helms gave me +5 DMG, I was using staff maybe bare-hand. Anyway I will test it again.
But I'm sure I received +5 DMG from the item. |

I think there is a similar thing related with armoured plates...
It sais that when wielded, gives 6 additional damage, yet gives nothing - comments? :/ |

Hi,
I'd guess that Labiri sees everything.
I can only refer to the data files, which have been provided by him, but they can be erroneous, too. |

Oh get real, Labiri doesn't see everything, he sees everything, knows everything, hears everything, and can even eat everything. Anyway, I have something to report...I noticed one time someone managing to dupicate(dupe) items but I thought the dupicating trick used in the original Diablo(or the old country as I call it) was destroyed...the reason I know someone was duping was I saw it across my screen several times, "A dupicated item has been detected by another player" Labiri, would it be possible for you to take out this new duping trick? I'd tell you how it works but I don't know, I forgot who I saw was doing it. _________________ In Soviet Russia, sig reads YOU !!

the game istelf can generate duplicate items - mainly potions, but also equipment parts. multiple ears of the same character are seen as duplicates as well. So the message 'duplicate items detected...' does not necessarily mean that someone is really duping items - sometimes its just an ingame glitch. |

The chances of an item being duplicated by the game is incredibly rare, barring potions. The odds are something like 1/10,000 for a basic obsidian zodiac ring, which has 50 different combinations. In ReX, there are, I believe, four different types of rings, bringing that chance up to a 1/40,000. It's rare, to say the least.
As for potions, the chance of a potion being a dupe is 1/256, so that happens somewhat frequently in comparison.
Oftentimes however, you get a glitch about a player duping even when nothing has been duped, and you are the only player that notices this message. I get this a lot immediately upon joining a game or after a level loads, in Vanilla Diablo. |
