Hello,
"Fire Damage + Th combo would be deadly "
I don't see why that would be, on a melee weapon, but maybe I am missing something here. Could you please explain?
"Specific base item lvl and unique qlvl combinaton should ensure ..."
True, but if Labiri changes item levels, many existing items will morph and become invalid.

Besides it is normal that some items are better than others, thats te way the game works. You must manage with whatever you have atm (thats the place for astutes, golds and so on), but if you had luck and find better equipment it will replace the old one. Then again thinking your way astute makes enchanted useless and also king makes prince useless... and what sholud be done about it? |
I think both Deep and tan have a point there.
The weapon would definately make Gold jewelry and astutes useless, but it would be a nice addition to the game. In my opinion, the only solution to this would be to have the weapon but to have an extremely low drop rate of it. Any suggestions? |
in 1.1b Bushido Pride is slightly modified and has a normal drop rate
Maybe in later versions LaBiRi will modify it like Tan's proposal, raising its drop rate , IMHO, 3-4 points under an enchanter/Crest/Godly, making Bushido Pride very hard to find...
But these are only ideas |

What Deep meant is that this combination would be deadly in melee duels. The fire/lightning deals damage to the opponent at the close range, while high CTH prevents him from retreat - the attempt to move will almost for sure result in recieving significant physical damage with high possibility of reverse knockback. And this would be the end of fight in most cases.

I may be wrong here (you're the modding expert aferall), but if the base item class would be newly added (and NOT replacing any other base item already used in mod) and no other items using this class existed before, then there should no morphing occure. Am I right? |

Hello,
I still don't get how the combination of elemental damage and high tohit would be so deadly.
These attacks don't use normal tohit modifiers but are based on the character's Magic. So, it may actually be more useful for those who lack sufficient tohit to overcome their victim's high AC. I see that you need a certain tohit to keep your opponent from walking away, but wouldn't you need that regardless, to have a chance at winning at all?
Anyway, since there are many ways to reach sufficient tohit, as Deep explained so thouroughly, it hardly matters how much this particular item has, I'd think.
Morphing of items may occur whenever the list of possible items from a certain source changes. That should include adding new items. But looking the many additions in the latest patch, and the lack of reports on morphed items here, it seems as if Labiri found a way around it.
