Have just been lucky enough to stumble upon a Kings bow of Battle and have noticed that unlike the other bows I have previously used, the arrow speed is inconsistant on this bow.

If I stand and fire a series of arrows, I notice two distant speeds at which the arrows are travelling at, the faster ones indeed overtaking a slower arrow before they both fly off of the screen.

I've been unable to test with a friend of mine at this stage but I have a feeling that even testing alone you tell the slower more predominent arrows from the bow are slower than a standard arrow coming off of a standard bow, whereas the faster and less frequent arrows are faster than a standard arrow coming off of a standard bow.

I don't know how fixable this is and to be honest I'm not even sure I agree with the King's prefix being allowed on bows... thought I should let you know though.

Is it not that the base item has the inherent effect Random speed arrows?

Hureg, some items have effects inherent, as Ychiju said. For example, a Hell's Helm increases your damage by 3. To see what effects some item has, just pick it up and look below the magical name, to see if there is something there. I'm unaware of what bow type might give this effect, though.

Well spotted... it's seems all bows with 6-12 damage base of 'wood bows' has random arrow speed... It's not mentioned on the weapon but it still seems to be the case... thanks for clarifying.
